Im a bit of a stationary geek and I love cute notebooks and diaries, since starting my blog iv been on the hunt for the perfect planner and diary but iv been rather disappointed in the ones I have come across so far, most looked boring or just didn’t have the correct pages that I wanted so today I decided to make my own!
I wanted something that I could keep important dates, ideas, appointments organised all in one place without the need of multiple books to carry around. I’m pretty happy with how this turned out and it easily fits in my laptop bag too which is even better!
So lets get straight into it!!
First I downloaded and printed this FREE PRINTABLE CALENDAR AND WEEKLY PLANNER and also this FREE PRINTABLE BLOGGING PLANNER and just changed my computer settings to print in black and white and printed 25 of each page. I made the front page (printed on board), the second page and the notes page myself, feel free to use these if you like by right clicking and saving the image and then printing!
I bought some a4 tab dividers ($3.99 for a pack of 5) and a4 white linen board ($6.99 for 12 sheets) to use as the front and back cover, a white binding coil (80 cents) and also a clear a4 sheet ($50 cents) to go infront of the cover page.
If you don’t have a binding machine you can take it to somewhere like your local paper plus and ask them to do it, I’m unsure of how much they would charge but I imagine it being pretty cheap. Or if you have one or can borrow one then here is a quick run down how to do it-
First I organised where I wanted the pages and the tab dividers to be then punched the holes using the binding machine. Once you have finished punching the holes you need to set up the binding coil following the machines instructions and carefully put the pages on and whola!!!! Easy peasy!! The beauty of using a binder is that you can easily add more pages to it when you need to.
And here’s what it looks like..
